Join us for a Slide and Lecture program.
Enjoy learning about the founder of photography from the medium’s beginning in the early 1800”s to some of the famous images of today. Explore various subjects such as realism, portraiture, still-life, naturalism, photo-journalism and surrealism via an interesting slide based lecture. View highlights of works by photographers such as Cartier-Bresson, Stieglitz, Steichen, Wesson, Adams and Man Ray.
College Park Arts Council & Manchester Arms
Manchester Arms graciously hosted an evening of exploration in the world of sculpture Saturday, April 18th 2009 from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm. Frank Toby Martin gave a slide presentation of his environmental stainless steel sculptures and his mixed media sculptures.
Toby is an associate professor in the art department at Spelman College and has been building sculptures for over thirty years. His artwork has been extensively exhibited in the United States and abroadand is part of numerous private, corporate, and institutional collections around the country. Presently, Toby is being represented by Mason Muer Gallery in Atlanta Georgia.
This well-attended event was free to members and a $5.00 donation was requested for all others.

Call for Artists:
CPAC is looking for artists to place their art in empty buildings on Main Street in Historic College Park. This is a great chance to expose your art to the public. Over the past two years CPAC has had the Art Walk in place a number of artist have made sales.
There is no charge to the artist.
Show will hang from June to the end of September.
CPAC has a limited amount of easels that can be used.
No art work can be attached to the building.
All artists will be asked to sign a hold harmless letter for CPAC and building owners against damage, thief, and acts of God. Building owners have the right to lease or sell the building with a ten day notice to CPAC.
